Project Management
Vantage Engineering has considerable experience in managing projects of all
sizes, from small additions for existing facilities to large capital projects.
Our employees take personal responsibility for the success of their projects
and our engineers have become very adept at providing customized solutions
tailored to their clients individual needs.
In order to further optimize our Project Management capabilities we have also
invested in several technological programs, each of which is designed to provide
a very specialized support to our project managers and their clients:
- Vantage's Solutions Manager
"Solman" is a proprietary program that offers our clients a valuable
opportunity to develop a reporting process, custom tailored to their specific
needs and situation, to track engineering hours and costs.
This powerful project management software has the capability to track,
monitor, and generate reports on any project type, or size. In fact, Solman
can also provide reports on the various components of each project - thus
providing our clients with an immediate tool to evaluate their projects on a
function by function basis.
Based on the criteria determined by our customers, Solman generates "Earned
Value Reports (EVR)" that compares estimated engineering hours and costs
against actual hours and costs. The results are consolidated and ranked with
numerical digits making the reporting process easy to understand and providing
an "instant" evaluative mechanism.
- Vantage's Multiple Project Tracking System (MPTS)
While most programs available today offer numerous evaluative options, it is
difficult to find one that truly covers all aspects of a project. The Vantage
Team is adept at identifying gaps and providing our clients with our own
"fit-for-service" solutions.
The MPTS is a case in point. This system allows our engineering team to
develop customized project or well reports for clients who are working with
multiple wells or projects.
The tracking system offers a reporting capability that includes: well status
progress reporting, well status reporting, well and pipeline parameters,
procurement status for each well, schedules project milestones and assists in
keeping track of regulatory approvals and construction documentation.
- Vantage's Post Project Cost Analysis System
Unlike Solman, which evaluates engineering hours and costs, this proprietary
program allows project managers to identify key project components and conduct
an analysis of projected, or total budgeted costs, versus total actual costs.
- MS Project Software
Yes, MS Projects is a fairly standard project management software program for
planning, implementation, tracking and managing a project. However, what makes
MS Projects unique in our hands is that it can be integrated into our suite of
complementary technological tools.
Given our commitment to ensuring the success of our clients' projects - the
Vantage engineering group use MS Projects to provide our clients with a
variety of value added items including:
- Planning organizing and tracking a project's tasks and identifying and
scheduling resources to accomplish those tasks.
- Creating project plans, tracking progress, averting potential problems
and communicating important project information very quickly.
- Assigning task responsibility and tracking project status across
multiple work groups and identifying the key resources required for each
project to keep the project on track and on time.
- Tracking individual employee hours and task allocations for comparative
and predictive purposes (this data can be integrated with the Solman reports
to provide our clients with a very accurate and up to date cost analysis).
- Analyzing the project plan and optimizing it to reduce costs, eliminate
unnecessary tasks, and achieve the project deadline.
- Conducting risk mitigation scenarios for comparative and predictive
purposes to identify problems that could affect the project schedule.
- Comparing the original plan to the actual course of project events and
analyzing problems and areas for future improvement and archiving the
project files.

Drafting Services
Vantage is unique in that our Drafting department is managed by a seasoned veteran who has been involved in all phases of process plant design, fabrication and
installation both locally and internationally.
Vantage's Drafting Department maintains a high level of efficiency while
utilizing the most current software including: AutoCAD™, ProCad™ and Cadworx™.
Our experienced staff can customize services to meet our clients' requirements.
Our drafting specialties include: equipment, piping, structural, and civil
within the broad range of the petroleum sector. We have experience in
Engineering Studies, Fabrication Drawings, Field Drawings, and As-Builts. Our
expertise ranges from the well, through gathering systems and transferring
systems, to gas processing - from compact units to full scale sites, and
everything in between.

Regulatory Approvals
While regulatory approvals are often considered a mundane and necessary evil
